Sponsored Video: Asus Fonepad is Calling!

With innovations in technology, our concepts of boundaries are constantly being questioned and explored. We not only appreciate new gadgets for their unique functionality, but love the idea of a multi-purpose machine. In the old days, scanning, copying and printing would be three unique tasks performed on three different devices. Today, they can all be fulfilled on one 3-in1 printer-scanner-copier.

Cameras and mobile phones have gone the same route. How many of us wear a watch these days, now that our mobile phones do such a good job of keeping time?

Asus, the worldwide top-three consumer notebook vendor and maker of the world’s best-selling, most award-winning motherboards, and Intel® have now combined  the capability of a tablet with the convenience of a smart phone. They are calling this creative collaboration the Fonepad. With its low-power consuming 1.2Ghz Intel Atom processor, huge battery and 3G phone functionality all packed into a sleek seven-inch tablet, Fonepad is ready to conquer the market.

The current campaign supports two newly-launched Android tablets with 3G telephony features, called ASUS Fonepad Note 6 and ASUS Fonepad 7. Both devices are powered by Intel and are innovative devices in the emerging phablet (a combination of phone + tablet) category. The “Fonepad is Calling” campaign extends Intel’s long history of collaboration with ASUS.

“With Intel Inside, the ASUS Fonepad Note 6 and ASUS Fonepad 7 offer the amazing combination of a phone and a tablet in one device, as a convenient option for the growing number of consumers who spend more time on their smart phones consuming social media, music and games rather than on voice calls. We believe people will easily see the value of this innovative form factor through the ‘Fonepad is Calling’ campaign.” said Ryan Baker, Intel Global Partner Marketing.

With the ASUS Fonepad 7 you can experience brilliant imagery whatever you are doing. Fully immerse in a movie, a presentation, or game on the sharp 7-inch, 1280 x 800 HD screen. Blast out the sound with dual front-facing speakers powered by SonicMaster Technology. Capture pics with its 1.2 MP front and 5 MP rear camera, then show them off on the HD display, and chat on and on with full 3G phone capabilities.

Watch this highly entertaining online video which is at the centre of this campaign positioning Fonepad as the perfect combination of a tablet and a smartphone.

And remember…#fonepadiscalling !

Sponsored Video: Gondappa’s Hand Walk

Teaching our children to wash their hands sounds so easy, but this simple act can have major consequences. They come home from school, or from playing outside, automatically reach out for a snack and without knowing it, can take in millions of germs right then and there.

It’s an important message, and one worth repeating. Did you know that every year, 2 million children will never reach their 5th birthday and will die due to diarrhoea and pneumonia? Did you know that diarrhoea is responsible for more deaths than AIDS?

Lifebuoy follows its tradition of creating awareness for hygiene and has put together this charming, heart-warming video.

Gondappa is a resident of Thesgora, an Indian village where the rates of diarrhoea are among the highest in the country. Watch Gondappa’s victorious hand walk to celebrate his first child who has reached the tender age of 5.

Although just by washing hands with soap, the risk of diarrhoea can be reduced by 42-47%, however only 2% of mothers in Thesgora said that they encouraged their children to wash their hands.
