I have a special child. Mild autistic, physically normal and responds partially to the commands. Can not afford Special Schools as the ones in Jeddah are very very expensive. Is there any possibility that I can induct my child in some play group for routine play group activities. Looking forward for your kind inputs in helping this out. Will be grateful.

  30. Hi everyone!

I am from the UK but was raised in Jeddah and class Jeddah as ‘home’. I only recently moved back to the UK to complete my degree in Business. I plan to return to Jeddah in the future and open a nursery/childcare facilities. As an assignment for university I have to gather market research on my business idea however the information I gather will be useful in the future if I do decide to go ahead with my plans to return to Jeddah. If you could give me a few minutes of your time to fill out a survey on what would you expect from a nursery in Jeddah, I would be very grateful. My target audience is parents or family members of children under the age of 6 however if you are not a parent/family member of a child under the age of 6 and still want to take part in the survey, please feel free to as any feedback is useful. Thank you for your time!

  33. Hi there. I’m moving to Jeddah with my 6 months baby and very nervous about it. Please can you advise me if there are good hospitals, pediatricians, preschools and schools and mom’s clubs in Jeddah? How is a life with a baby can be overthere? I have no idea and very worried.

    Like

    • Hi Viola! There are lots of good hospitals, pediatricians and schools in Jeddah. Take some time to browse through the blog and search for schools and hospitals. Life with a baby will very much depend on your living arrangement. It will be easier to participate in babies’ and moms’ activities if you are living on a compound. For children’s activities check this link .

      Good luck!

    Hi,
Just a quick question, are there lots of places for mothers to meet up with other mothers like soft play if you have quite young children, my daughter is a year old.I will be moving o jeddah soon and want to know how easy it is to meet people especially if we decide not to live on a compound? In terms of nursery, are there many arabic speaking ones of real high standard as I would like my little one to learn both English and Arabic. I’m from the UK and love the idea of multilingualism.
